Research Interests:
Dr. Fitzakerley's interests include hearing science, central nervous
system development, and information processing in the brainstem.
Her ongoing research uses molecular biological and patch clamp recording
techniques to study the acquisition of function in the cochlear
nucleus, with a specific focus on the role of potassium channels
in the determination of response properties of cochlear nucleus
neurons.
