Neuroscience at Itasca

UNDERGRADUATE NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY

The Neuroscience Summer Program at the University of Minnesota consists of a three week laboratory course(3 credits) and a seven week research experience in an active neuroscience lab on the Twin Cities campus. The program is a great way to gain exposure to a broad sampling of neuroscience research, explore the envronment of a major research laboratory and make personal connections. This program offers an excellent stepping stone to graduate school.

Program dates - June 2 - August 12, 2005

Orientation Weekend - Thursday, June 2nd - Sunday, June 5th at Lake Itasca Biological Station

Application - The application can be downloaded from the web-site listed below (Due February 15, 2005)

The Neuroscience program is run under an umbrella program known as LSSURP. Therefore, applicants will need to designate Neuroscience when they fill out the LSSURP forms.

Typically sophomores and juniors are accepted into this program. Over 100 applications are received for the Neuroscience summer program each year and there are a maximum of 14 positions. Get your application in NOW!
