Undergraduate Institution and Major/Degree:
- Amherst College, BA in Physics and Philosophy, 2004
Research Description:
I'm interested in how we think. It's a huge question that ranges from the specifics of ion channel activation and signal transmission, up to network processing models all of which should eventually explain behavioral observations. I believe modeling, particularly computational modeling, is a very useful tool for exploring these questions, but that these models need to be anchored to experimental observations. At the moment, I'm still searching for a specific question and a specific lab, but I hope to be able to follow these general outlines in future research.
