Research Description:
I am primarily interested in pursuing novel translational therapies in the area of neuroprotection. My research involves the identification of novel compounds to prevent cell death as a result of neural injury. The research and development of neuroprotective compounds is especially important as a potential therapy for neurodegenerative diseases such as ischemic stroke and cerebral palsy, among many others.
