Professor Christopher Honda was known internationally for advances in defining the neuronal mechanisms contributing to the sensory experience of pain. In addition to pursuing his research, Chris taught hundreds of future scientists, clinicians and citizens in both the classroom and laboratory. His kindness, collegiality, and mentorship deeply impacted generations of students who carry his lessons into their teaching and mentoring
